Stayed as a couple for 2 nights in June and Eliana provided us with the perfect platform for a Matera experience we will never forget. She goes out of her way to make one’s stay memorable, providing tips and advice and most of all sharing her special home with her guests. Our room was spacious, quiet and comfortable.
Eliana is kind and fully respectful of her hosts’ privacy. The location is amazing, the house in the Sassi creates a natural air conditioning that is crucial in summer. Eliana picks with care every single piece of food that is served during breakfast. This place makes you feel at home, in the right place.
The most beautiful room ever! In the heart of the Sassi, yet in a quiet street with little people passing by. We had our private entrance though a small court filled with flowers that led to our terrace. The room has high voulted ceilings and you can see a part of the house is typically sculpted within the rock.
The room was really a nest and we very much enjoyed staying at Eliana‘s and really appreciated the little design details everywhere. Breakfast was a highlight with self made marmalade and fruits and yogurt. The welcoming and homely atmosphere gave us a good start to explore Matera that became one of our favourite locations.
